An idea spawned in a Geeksouth leadership meeting earlier this year grew into an amazingly successful event that almost never happened.  This event has gotten a lot of local people jazzed about bringing people with fun, creative ideas into contact with people who may be able to help turn those ideas into a business.  Will This Float? is quickly growing into more than an annual event.  I think you'll soon see a loose regional network of thinkers given a platform to help them turn their concept into cash.

Yesterday, the WTF? planning committee got together to talk about the event and go through everything that went right (a lot!) and what went wrong (a few things).  However, more than this we made plans for the future.  We are all already getting questions and see a lot of interest in building on the November event.  I was asked to join the board, of course I said yes.  It's the first time I've ever been officially on the board of anything.
